Aminah Ghanem

Reforming Our Bilingual Education System
Aminah is a junior at Newbury Park High School and a huge advocate for bilingual education. She is most passionate about Dual Language Learning programs and thinks they should be implemented in all school districts, especially Conejo Unified School District! Aminah believes programs like DLLs encourage youth to learn about the many languages and cultures that make up the United States. Aminah wants to positively impact as many lives as she can through a future career in either psychology or medicine. She is president of Future Health Leaders of America and Chief Explorer of the Ventura County 911 Medical Post. At school, she tutors at the Writing Center, plays on the varsity tennis team, and sings in the Advanced Women’s Choir. She enjoys working as a medical intern at Westminster Free Clinic, which she considers her second home. Aminah is thankful for her family and all of her amazing teachers at Newbury Park High School.
